This is the first new project of mine as of creating this website. I had a lot of spare parts left over from my first ever 3D Printer, a Geeetech i3 (bad), and some I had bought for a large format 3D Printer project but did not end up using (I have been tinkering with the latter project on and off for a while now)
I bought one of Ooznest's Prusa MK2 frames a few years ago, with the goal of slowly building a secondary printer using spare parts. Eventually, I realised I had accumulated enough spare parts to put together a genuinely good printer that could replace my Ender 3 as my daily workhorse machine. So, I built a Prusa MK2.5 of my own, with some mods:
Parts used:
Revo Six: Heatercore from Revo CR, moved to a Revo 6 heatsink (way too good of a hotend for an Ender 3)
Linear rods and leadscrews from my old Geeetech i3 (the new leadscrews were a mod for that old machine)
E3D Slimline motor with Trianglelab BMG internals.
12mm Inductive probe.
FYSETC Mk52 heated bed, Trianglelab PEI flexplate.
Bigtreetech mini 128x64 display.
SKR 1.3 With 3x TMC2209 for X,Y,E. 2x TMC2208 for both Z Motors.
Ooznest prusa i3 frame.

The print quality is not too different from my Ender 3, but the usability features of this printer more than make up for the time spent. The Z Axis motors level themselves individually, the flexplate is fantastic. Using parts I've had lying around for years now feels great too. My old Ender 3 now functions as a secondary 3D Printer.
